Before To forming Toto its members worked as session musicians for Steely Dan[3] Seals and Crofts[4] Boz Skaggs and Sonny and Cher. Guitarist Steve Lukather was the band's lead singer.
About Toto
Toto was founded in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also famous studio musicians with Boz Scaggs) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. The group took their name from the Latin word that translates to "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore every musical style.
Toto's third release, Turn Back, was a failure in 1981. However they made amends with their fourth release, Isolation, which contained two hit songs, including the title song and Roseanna. The album and tour make them a household name around the world.
After a hiatus of a couple of years, Toto return with the album Fahrenheit in the year 1986. The album is a departure from the ballads that were featured on previous albums, and also features some heavy rock. The album was their first to be certified platinum in North America.
In the course of recording the fifth album the group loses their manager and faces financial challenges. They decide to change their name and create a new album with a new producer. Joseph Williams, the son of John Williams, the legendary film composer and actress Barbara Ruick from 1950s, is now replacing Fergie Frederiksen as lead singer. Joseph Williams is a natural frontman and gives the band a much-needed boost.
In 1999, the band releases Mindfields and embarks on an extensive worldwide tour. After several weeks in Europe, the band heads to Japan for sold-out shows. After a brief break, Toto resumes their recording and release their first live album entitled Absolutely Live in 1993. The album features a cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe as a response to the band's performance in Africa on their recent tour. 토토 꽁머니 touring band is rounded out by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.

Toto is a rock group from America that achieved their greatest success in the 1980s. The band was formed by session musicians who had experience and has sold more than 40 million albums around the world.
The first album of the totos was the self-titled Toto, released in 1978. It was a huge success that brought the band to international fame. Since then, the band has released 14 more albums, which have also been hits.
Toto composed their first and only movie score in 1984 for the film Dune. It was a massive project that required the entire group to be involved. The album that followed, Kingdom of Desire, was another successful record. After a world-tour, Bobby Kimball quit the group. He was replaced by Fergie Frederiksen from Le Roux. The band then forged ahead with their fifth album, Isolation. The album featured a number of songs, including "Stranger in Town".
After Isolation Toto was released, the band went on break. This gave the members of the group a chance to pursue solo projects. In 1996, the group was reformed to tour and record an album. It was the first time in more than a decade that all of the original band members were on stage.
The following year, Toto toured with Ringo Starr's All Starr Band. This was the final time that all the original Toto members Toto were on stage together. After that, the group was again disbanded. However, Toto reunited in 2010 to benefit the ALS Foundation. It was the first time in 31 year that all of Toto's founding members performed together. The original Toto members were joined by keyboardist Greg Tambu who filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate who filled in for Shem von Schroeck.

Toto has been one of the most loved rock bands for over three decades, releasing megahits such as "Rosanna," "Hold The Line,"" and their 8X platinum smash, "Africa." The group's anthemic, arena-rock style is inspired by a variety of styles, including progressive rock, world rhythms jazz, and soul.
The band suffered several setbacks during their later times, despite their fame. In 2002 keyboardist David Paich and drummer Greg Phillinganes were forced to take a medical leave of absence. Shem von Schröeck was brought in to replace him however the band was not the same without Paich or Phillinganes. In 2008, Toto decided to take a break from touring after a string lineup changes and a series of disappointing releases. The group returned to the road in 2012 after the release of their album 40 Trips Around The Sun.
The album was a return to form for the band and the tour was accompanied it with sold-out shows in North America and Europe. Toto's reunion was bolstered by the addition of guitarist Steve Lukather and bassist Shem von Schroeck, who had both returned to the group.
Toto's music is the same today as it was in the 1970s and 80s, gaining new fans with every new generation. Their success has made them a permanent fixture in pop culture, and their live performances are always filled with energy and excitement.
